Responsibilities

  • Recording invoices, payments, and receipts in the accounting system to keep financial administration up to date.
  • Preparing and sending invoices to clients, including tracking outstanding payments and following up on overdue payments.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable by processing incoming invoices, reconciling payments, and checking outstanding balances.
  • Matching bank statements with financial records to ensure all transactions are correctly processed and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial closings, such as reviewing balance sheet accounts and preparing reports.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT (BTW) returns 
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts 
  • Assisting in payroll administration
  • Support the CEO with Human Resource Management tasks
  • Assisting with project reporting


Must Have

  • Education at MBO or HBO in finance-related studies 
  • Experience in a similar role, or willing to learn. Starters are also welcome!
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and a strong affinity with numbers
  • Accurate, proactive, and independent work approach
  • Familiar with the Dutch tax and accounting system
  • Valid work permit for The Netherlands
  • You are a team player, you are an enthusiastic and social colleague who can work independently, but also looks for coordination
  • Both your Dutch and English is excellent, both oral and written
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft365


Nice to have

  • Prior administrative experience of at least two years
  • Familiar with Odoo 
  • Experience with Human Resource Management
  • Cultural awareness
  • Attention to details and accuracy
  • Preferably living in the vicinity of Wageningen



The Position

FarmTree offers a pleasant and dynamic working environment. 

You will keep track of the daily financial management of the company, including all payments, processing incoming and outgoing invoices, salary administration and quarterly VAT reporting. FarmTree uses Odoo for its financial administration as well as timesheets, project reporting, recruitment, you name it and it's possible in Odoo. You'll become our Odoo expert.

Initially you work closely with the CEO and in due time with other colleagues.

Contract

A one-year competitive employment contract of 16-24 hours (number of hours can be determined by mutual agreement) with the prospect of two one-year extensions followed by an open-ended contract on good performance
